  • Oilers' Connor Murphy: Nets first playoff goal

Murphy scored a goal on three shots in Wednesday's 6-4 loss to the Ducks in Game 2.

Murphy tallied at 11:46 of the second period for his first career playoff goal. The 33-year-old defenseman is likely to fill a shutdown role during the Oilers' run this year, which is just his second time being in the postseason. He had four assists over nine contests with the Blackhawks in 2020 in his only other taste of playoff hockey. Murphy produced 17 points, 70 shots on net, 71 PIM, 90 hits and 138 blocked shots over 80 regular-season appearances between Edmonton and Chicago this year.

  • Oilers' Josh Samanski: Scores in playoff debut

Samanski scored a goal on two shots in Wednesday's 6-4 loss to the Ducks in Game 2.

Samanski was inserted into the lineup, along with Curtis Lazar, to account for the absences of Adam Henrique (lower body) and Jason Dickinson (undisclosed). The 24-year-old Samanski was able to cash in a goal in his playoff debut, though it's unlikely he'll be a major factor on offense the rest of the way. He had four points, nine shots on net, 27 hits and 14 blocked shots over 24 regular-season outings.

  • Oilers' Zach Hyman: Buries goal Wednesday

Hyman scored a goal on six shots, added five hits and went minus-3 in Wednesday's 6-4 loss to the Ducks in Game 2.

Hyman was held off the scoresheet in the series opener but found a goal in the second period of this contest. He's added 13 hits and seven shots on net while occupying a top-line spot with power-play time. Hyman is in the playoffs for the 10th year in a row -- over the previous nine postseason runs, he's earned 40 goals and 33 assists across 100 outings. The 33-year-old winger will continue to be a key part of the Oilers' top six and power play, which puts him in position to generate plenty of offense.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: One of each in win

Draisaitl scored a goal on three shots and added an assist in Wednesday's 6-4 loss to the Ducks in Game 2.

Draisaitl has four points over the first two games of the postseason, showing no rust after losing 14 contests to a lower-body injury. The Oilers' offense hasn't been at full force just yet, as Connor McDavid is struggling to get anything going. Draisaitl has shown the ability to up his performance in the playoffs, and the Ducks' defense hasn't done much to slow him down yet. Consider Draisaitl a strong top-end option for DFS contests during the Oilers' playoff run.

  • Oilers' Connor Ingram: Yields five goals in loss

Ingram allowed five goals on 27 shots in Wednesday's 6-4 loss to the Ducks in Game 2. The sixth goal was an empty-netter.

Ingram was unable to stop the Ducks' special teams -- they scored twice on the power play and once while shorthanded. With eight goals allowed on 55 shots over the first two games of this first-round series, Ingram has not been at his best. Still, the Oilers haven't shown a lot of trust in Tristan Jarry's performance, so a goaltending change isn't imminent, though the team hasn't yet revealed who will get the nod in Game 3 on Friday in Anaheim.

  • Oilers' Jason Dickinson: Not playing Wednesday

Dickinson (undisclosed) won't play Wednesday in Game 2 versus the Ducks, Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels reports.

Dickinson was able to play in Game 1 on Monday, but it appears he's come out of the contest worse for wear. Curtis Lazar will draw into the lineup to cover Dickinson's absence. It's unclear at this time if Dickinson will be able to play Friday in Anaheim in Game 3.

  • Oilers' Connor Ingram: In goal versus Ducks

Ingram will patrol the crease at home for Game 2 against Anaheim on Wednesday, per Derek Lee of The Hockey News.

Ingram gave up more goals versus the Ducks (three) than he has in his previous four outings, but he still walked away with the win. Overall, the 29-year-old backstop is 3-1-1 with an impressive 1.70 GAA in his last five outings. At this point, even if Ingram were to lose Game 2, he's earned himself enough leeway to get another start or two.

  • Oilers' Jason Dickinson: Game-time call Wednesday

Dickinson (undisclosed) is a game-time decision for Game 2 against Anaheim on Wednesday, per Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton.

Dickinson was also a game-time call ahead of Game 1 on Monday. He ended up playing a huge role in that clash, scoring two goals in 12:01 of ice time. Curtis Lazar will probably draw into the lineup if Dickinson can't play.

  • Oilers' Ty Emberson: Gathers assist in Game 1 win

Emberson notched an assist and two hits in Monday's 4-3 win over the Ducks in Game 1.

Emberson went 17 games without a point to end the regular season, and he also missed five contests due to an undisclosed injury in that span. He's set for third-pairing minutes this postseason, but if he struggles, Spencer Stastney could be swapped into the lineup. Emberson had 12 points, 46 shots on net, 107 hits and 106 blocked shots over 72 regular-season outings. His helper Monday was his first career playoff point -- he was held off the scoresheet in nine appearances last spring in his first taste of postseason action.

  • Oilers' Jake Walman: Produces two helpers

Walman logged two assists, two shots on goal, two hits, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 4-3 win over the Ducks in Game 1.

Walman had just two helpers with a minus-10 rating, 36 shots on net and 38 blocked shots over his last 21 outings in the regular season. Overall, he logged 20 points, 96 shots, 90 blocks and a minus-17 rating over 53 regular-season contests. Walman is likely to fill a bottom-four role during the playoffs. He was moderately productive in the playoffs last year with 10 points over 22 outings.

  • Oilers' Vasily Podkolzin: Picks up pair of assists

Podkolzin notched two assists, two shots on goal and seven hits in Monday's 4-3 win over the Ducks in Game 1.

Podkolzin ended the regular season on a three-game skid. He had a small breakout in 2025-26 with 19 goals and 37 points over 82 regular-season contests while often filling a middle-six role. He also produced 242 hits, 139 shots on net and 63 PIM to add some grit. Entering this postseason, he's earned 10 points over 24 career playoff outings, but he's in a position to be more involved this year.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Dishes two assists in return

Draisaitl logged two assists and two shots on goal in Monday's 4-3 win over the Ducks in Game 1.

Draisaitl missed 14 games due to a lower-body injury to end the regular season, denying him the chance to log a fifth straight 100-point campaign. He ended up at 35 goals and 97 points, as well as 186 shots on net and a plus-13 rating, over 65 regular-season appearances. Draisaitl has been a powerhouse in the postseason over recent years -- he has a total of 52 goals and 141 points over 96 playoff outings during previous campaigns, including a league-leading 33 points in 22 games during the 2025 postseason.

  • Oilers' Adam Henrique: Won't play Wednesday

Henrique (lower body) will not be an option for Game 2 against the Ducks on Wednesday, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports.

It remains to be seen if Henrique is facing an extended absence, but at a minimum, he'll be sidelined for Wednesday's game in Edmonton. Josh Samanski is expected to replace Henrique on the fourth line in Game 2, per Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton. Henrique's next opportunity to suit up will be when this first-round series shifts to Anaheim, which will be in Game 3 on Friday.

  • Oilers' Adam Henrique: Suffers injury Monday

Henrique (undisclosed) suffered an injury in Game 1's 4-3 win over Anaheim on Monday, according to Jamie Umbach of the Oilers' official site.

Henrique left the game and didn't return after getting tangled up with a teammate in front of the Anaheim net. He had one shot on goal and one hit in only 2:56 of ice time before leaving the game. The Oilers expect to know more about the 36-year-old forward's status ahead of Game 2 on Wednesday. If Henrique misses time, Curtis Lazar and Josh Samanski are potential candidates to enter the lineup.

  • Oilers' Jason Dickinson: Lights lamp twice Monday

Dickinson scored two goals in Monday's 4-3 win over the Ducks in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series.

Dickinson is not known for being an offensive force, but he found the back of the net on his two shots in this game and played a big role in a game where Connor McDavid went pointless for the Oilers. Dickinson is expected to play a defensive role in the playoffs, as he's key in penalty-killing situations, and he probably won't be a scoring threat for the Oilers in most games.

... See More ... See Less
  • Oilers' Kasperi Kapanen: Scores twice Monday

Kapanen scored two goals on seven shots and added four hits in Monday's 4-3 win over the Ducks in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series.

Kapanen ended the regular season on a cold streak since he was riding a seven-game goal drought, a span in which he had recorded just one point. However, he stepped up in a big way Monday, not only tallying two goals but also slotting home the game-winner late in the third period. The Oilers' offense will run through Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, but having Kapanen as a reliable scoring threat is a huge boost for Edmonton as well. The 29-year-old forward scored just eight goals in 41 contests in the regular season.

... See More ... See Less
  • Oilers' Connor Ingram: Earns win in playoff opener

Ingram stopped 25 of 28 shots in Monday's 4-3 win over the Ducks in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series.

Ingram was beaten three times in the second period, but he was excellent down the stretch, stopping the 11 shots he faced during the third period while allowing the Oilers to mount a late comeback. Ingram posted a career-best 2.60 GAA in 32 regular-season appearances, and he should remain the No. 1 goaltender for Edmonton ahead of Wednesday's Game 2.
